Shine is named for the stars of ValbyDane that shone before her, to honor those dogs that we loved with all our hearts that were taken too soon.

Her first weekend in the ring, Shine had some very tough puppy competition. She ended the weekend with her first 2 points, taking Winners Bitch and Best Puppy under Judge Corrine Walker. She also won the working Group in a sanction match held by the Alberta Kennel Club.

Shine finished at 9 months old, always breeder owner handled. 

Just shy of 10 months old, Shine won a Specialty Select for her first Grand Championship points, at the Western Great Dane Club of BC Specialty, under Christine Salyers Anderson.

During her puppy career, Shine took 6 Puppy Groups, a Group 2, multiple breed wins, and 2 Best Puppy in Shows under Mirtha Mortera and Joan Beech.

She finished her Canadian Grand Championship at 13 months, and made the cut in a beautiful field of specials at the Canadian Regional and National Specialties.

She has one of two required Majors toward her American Championship, and won an extremely competitive Bred by Exhibitor class at the 2018 GDCA National Specialty.
